As it currently stands, you don't even receive experience for harvesting Spirit Seeds. There's no way to "Check-health" of the tree when it's fully grown. So I would say that needs to be changed first. If not, then there's absolutely no harm in them being able to be bought from Jane, however, it would be rather pointless since as you said there's not a lot of teleport options they offer that we don't already have.
