  1. Thanks for QOL updates!

Pet scrolls were my main incentive to vote so very disappointed in that, hope you'll consider adding them back. I certainly won't be buying them from donor store; 75m for one hour of +10% is a ripoff compared to the vote store price (~7.5m).

  2. e a s t's 6 Jad Challenge service

Hello and welcome! I'll do the 6 jad challenge for you. Rewards from this challenge include the Jad pet transmog as well as a custom version of the fire cape (this can also be made into a comp cape variant):

I charge 250m for 6 jads, plus 10m per jad for each challenge below that you'd like me to complete (so 50m for 5 jads, 40m for 4 jads, etc.).

I don't have set in stone gear requirements, but please have max combat and rigour. If you're an iron, I'd strongly prefer that you have twisted bow, bofa, or acb, as well as either armadyl or void. I reserve the right to refuse service or charge more for people with insufficient gear.

If you are interested in my service, please PM me either in-game (e a s t) or on Discord (West #6277).

    Thanks!

Do you have any experience when it comes to bug-testing: I've been testing bugs on this server since I joined, particularly when it comes to later-game PvM content that not a lot of players do. Unrelated to games, I frequently write (MATLAB) code for work and probably have some applicable general knowledge from debugging my programs.

How knowledgeable would you say you are when it comes to Runescape/Oldschool Runescape: Very. I started playing in maybe 2009 or 2010, took a break from maybe 2013-2020, then started playing again last year. In that time, I think I've done pretty much every piece of content available on Zaros and am very familiar with the mechanics of the game.

Runescape username & total level: I don't have an 07 account, but I have 140 days of playtime on e a s t on Zaros, am comped, etc.

How do you feel you'd be useful in testing Zaros: I imagine a lot of the stuff I can help with specifically is related to end-game content; there are still several bugs in TOB that I'd like to test out, for example. I've played as an ironman since I started, so I'm familiar with obscure content that most accounts may not do, and my high activity hopefully speaks for itself.

How many hours do you plan on spending per week on average testing: I usually am online in some capacity for 6-12 hours a day, depending on work and other commitments. If I got the position I would be willing to put in as many hours as needed towards the beta server.

    Thanks for your consideration!

  4. Figured some numbers might help here. The chance for ANY drop at nightmare (sum of individual odds at each item) is 1/68; however, Nightmare only rolls each rare drop table once per kill, meaning multiple people can't get a drop in the same kill (except for the extremely rare case where both tables are rolled in the same kill). This means your odds of a drop on any nm kill is 1/68 divided by the number of people you're killing it with.

To show just how bad that is, this is how many kills you'd have to do do hit droprate and how long it would take assuming 4 minutes kills (although I made it 6 min for duo, 8 for solo) to hit that droprate.

Now I get that nm isn't supposed to be free loot, but the fact that on average you'd have to spend >10 hours at a boss with boring mechanics to get just ONE drop on an RSPS is crazy to me. Even on the 55-60% boosts we've been seeing it's common to see only 1 or 2 drops across the entire server.

Because of this, I know 4 people on the entire server (including myself) who are willing to actually grind this boss; nobody else wants to stay for more than 5-6 kills. IMO the best solution to this isn't even changing the drop table by a set %; just make the rare drop tables roll for EACH person instead of just once per kill. This puts the set droprate at 1/68 for everyone for each kill, which is still a fat grind (at least 4.5 hours on average for ONE drop), but much more manageable for a private server.
