Jagex prohibited the highly anticipated release of the RuneLite HD Plugin, a mere hour before release. This sparked outrage in the OSRS community, leading to Falador riots, in support of the creator, 117, who put more than 2,000 hours into the project. The OSRS player base,, as well as 117 was left with no explanation as to why the rash, last minute decision by Jagex was made.
However, today, word from 117 is now detailing potential hope?
A direct post on reddit made by 117, (I could link, but I am unsure if external links are allowed. It's the top post on /r/2007scape for those who are interested) claims they have been in contact with multiple Jagex Mods, who had no input on the overall decision.
From the sound of it, the future of the RuneLite HD Plugin seems more positive now. Jagex seems to have listened to their community. Although nothing is set in stone, this follow-up question is posed as a hypothetical to the Dev. Team, here on Zaros.
