(Please note the Chambers of Xeric Challenge Mode will be available at 6 PM UTC, or 18:00 Server Time) The Chambers of Xeric's Challenge Mode is a Chambers of Xeric raid with increased difficulty. Here, players will encounter all possible bosses and rooms within the Chambers, with their combat stats increased. All the monsters within possess no new mechanics. In order to attempt a Challenge Mode raid, party leaders must select the "Challenge Mode" box when forming a party. Unlike the normal raid, a Challenge Mode raid is linear and contains three levels of rooms rather than the two normal levels that are randomly generated, with the final boss being the Great Olm: - Top level: Tekton, Jewelled Crabs, Scavenger beasts, Ice demon, Lizardman shamans, resource room - Middle level: Vanguards, Thieving room, Scavenger beasts, Vespula, resource room, Tightrope room - Lower level: Guardians, Vasa Nistirio, Scavenger beasts, Skeletal mystics, Muttadiles, resource room While the loot players may receive from defeating the Great Olm in Challenge Mode is the same as that of a normal mode raid, the points a player will earn throughout the raid is much higher than normal. In addition, completion count for the Chambers of Xeric's Challenge Mode is counted separately from the normal raid. Players who complete the Challenge Mode raid within a set amount of time will have a chance of receiving a twisted ancestral colour kit. They'll also have a 1/280 chance of receiving metamorphic dust, which can be used on an olmlet to allow it to metamorphose into Tektiny, Vespina, a Vanguard pet, a puppadile or Vasa Minirio. Only one metamorphic dust is required to obtain the ability to metamorphose an olmlet into all other five pets. If any additional metamorphic dusts are used on an olmlet, the metamorphic dust is used. In addition to having a chance at a twisted ancestral colour kit, twisted horns (1/55) and metamorphic dust, completion of a Challenge Mode raid within the required time will also yield an additional 5,000 points per player for the total team points count, meaning the overall chance of obtaining a unique drop is increased should the team perform well. The Scoreboard found in the Lobby will also now only track time records of these Challenge Mode raids. --- + Content Additions & Changes: - You are now able to search PvP weapons on the trading post. - Tentacle whips will no longer fully break in PvM related deaths, only PvP. - The teleport for smoke devils on the slayer ring has been renamed from “Castle Wars” to “Smoke Devil Dungeon”. - Crystal shards have been added to the elf pickpocketing loot table at a base rate of 1/40. - You can no longer roll dice in the support clan chats. - The modifications you receive from any compost, magic secateurs, donator rank, and the farming cape are now in a much more clear message when farming. - Ultracompost has received a small buff in how many products you will yield when farming. - Giant Seaweed harvest yields will now follow the same modifications you receive for herbs, with the base still remaining as 25. - Herb Sacks now have a “Send to GIM Storage” option if you are in an ironman group. - The Calquat Tree patch has been added to the Explorer’s Ring 2. - Added Edgeville to the teleport interface. - You can now click the “Seeds” option on birdhouses to automatically fill it with seed. - When de-ironing from elite ironman or realism group ironman modes, you’ll be downgraded to realism mode instead of regular mode. - Added Combat Ring imbuement to the Slayer reward shop. - Stringing crossbows and bows are now a filtered chat message. - You can now use cleaning cloths to unpoison various weapons and ammunition. Additionally, you can now obtain cleaning cloths from the tool store at home. - Group Ironmen will now have which storage they opened last remembered, and the game will now use that when opening the bank. - The Farming Cape will now add a modification to your allotment yields. - You can now exchange Spirit Seeds for tier 5 seed packs with Jane at the farming guild. - Added a warning when using the Fertile Soil spell with the Ash Covered Tome unlocked, but not having Volcanic Ash in your inventory. - You will now receive a 15 minute bonus experience (1.2x) book when voting. - You can now cook on Sulphur Vents. - Wilderness aggression radius has been reduced. - The Lobby at the Nightmare now has a bank chest. - Kicking a player from a clan chat will now specify the players username. - Added some more placeholders for GIM storage. Collection Log: - Rolling a pet after you have one now correctly adds to the collection log. - Upon logging in, your inventory and banks will now be scanned for any untradeable items that are missing from your collection log due to bugs in the past. This includes items such as skilling outfits, pets, and void. If you are an ironman, missing tradeable items will also be scanned into your log. Galvek, the Wilderness Boss: - You can no longer use rings of recoil or vengeance to deal damage to Galvek. - Once galvek spawns, a 40x40 area around galvek (denoted by white orbs) will become a free-for-all zone in which PvP combat level restrictions are lifted. Theatre of Blood: - Removed the purple hitsplat when the vortex heals Verzik in phase three. - Reduced the delay of damage being dealt by 1 tick from verzik crab explosion in phase two and three. - The electric attack in Verzik phase two will now deal damage to Verzik (15-20) if it successfully passes through her. Lizardman Temple: - Players can now access the temple below the city of Molch by either teleporting there or using one of the four entrances above ground. - Features 6 shaman spawns. - The mystical barrier doors function the same as OSRS in that the more times you pass through them in a short period of time, the more damage they will deal to you. Chambers of Xeric: - Buffed thieving room, chests now have a higher chance of having grubs at a higher thieving level. - Fixed an issue with Olm’s flame wall lasting 2 ticks too long. - Fixed an issue with the Crystal Halberd not working on Tekton and Olm’s left claw. - Raids private storage units no longer create new placeholders in the bank when withdrawn. - Fixed a bug with raid parties where it could sometimes lock a clan from creating a new party until the next server update. Donator Zones: - All Zones/Ranks: - All Zones now have a +7 invisible cooking boost when cooking within the zone. - The Barrel of Fish now acts similar to a Herb Sack in that you can store, claim, and send to your bank any raw fish items. - You can now speak to the Zaros Guide using the “Change Home Teleport” option at home to assign a donator zone as your Home teleport. - Regular Zone: - Fixed an issue with not being able to use the Furnace properly. - Added a disease-free herb patch near the shop. - Added 1 mahogany tree, 2 teak trees. - Added the Box of Rejuvenation. - Added the Crystal Key Chest. - Extreme Zone: - The Sawmill Operator has been added to the Bank area. - Added a disease-free herb patch north of the Furnace area. - Added a trading post to the left-hand side of the Bank area. - Added 2 mahogany trees, 3 teak trees. - Added the Crystal Key Chest. + Bug fixes: - You can no longer sell items on the trading post that aren’t searchable. - Fixed the amount of coins that spawn naturally on the ground. This should make the achievement for telegrabbing coins much more manageable as originally intended. - Fixed an issue with Alchemical Hydra where it would sometimes become “stuck” or attack from long distances when it’s not supposed to. - Fixed an issue with loading gear presets with the bank “noted” option enabled. - Fixed an issue where your gravestone would not go away after logging out. - Fixed not being able to store noted saplings in your seed vault. - Fixed some titles being removed upon relogging. - Fixed an issue where clicking an energy sphere too early or too late at grotesque guardians would cause you to DC. - Fixed an issue where superior slayer monsters would spawn at grotesque guardians after killing either dusk or dawn. - The Ancient Wyvern Shield will now act similar to an Anti-Dragon shield in addition to its original properties. - Fixed another issue with Farming Patches being able to grow beyond their max growth state, causing some plants to appear dead or diseased when they were actually full grown. - Ground Item decay in instances is now set to 30 minutes. - Donators will now receive their “chance at an extra voting token” benefit. - Fixed an issue with using the “empty” option on an Ectophial causing it to break and disappear. - Mahogany sapling, Teak sapling, Ornate maul handle, Jar of Dreams, and Trouver parchment are now tradeable. - Fixed an issue where bryophyta’s staff (uncharged) was not tradeable. For those that already have the staff, you’ll need to charge it with at least one nature rune and uncharge it again for it to trade properly. - Cockatrices will now properly drop the unstuffed head variant instead of the stuffed head. - Fixed an issue with being able to place your Dwarf Multicannon in your house. - Fixed an issue with being able to place your Dwarf Multicannon on the same tile as someone else on the same tick, this also improves the set-up of the Dwarf Multicannon by one tick. - Fixed an issue with Zamorak Brews restoring more prayer points than intended. - Fixed an issue with Medium, Hard, and Elite Clues not rolling for a couple of rewards. - Fixed an issue with the Cave Kraken only dropping 1 Sanfew Serum instead of 2. - Fixed an issue with “Deposit-All” in Group Ironman storage not sending untradeables to their placeholders in your main bank. - Fixed an issue with Dark & Dense Essence Blocks, and Dark Essence Fragments being bankable. - If you would’ve had another pet that you already have follow you, it will now show in your collection log. - Increased Hobgoblin respawn timers, and cleaned up Wilderness Graveyard spawns. - When harvesting a farming plot that gives noted resources, you will now receive the proper amount of experience. - Fixed an issue with Amulet of Eternal glories granting more in Death’s Coffer sacrifice than originally intended. - Fixed an issue with inventory space and Skillcape perks. - Fixed an issue with Prifddinas furnace not being able to be used to smith cannonballs. - Fixed an issue with Guards dropping prayer and ranging potions. - The Master Farmer in Hosidius has had enough of his morning coffee, and will now get back to work, fixing an issue with him not moving. - Fixed issues with Implings spawning in unreachable places. - Fixed an issue with the ladder on the top floor of the Motherlode Mine sometimes not working properly. - Fixed an issue with Kree’arra using melee even if it was being targeted by other player(s). - Fixed an issue with being able to give Ironmen voting tokens. - Fixed an issue with the Mining Cape perk giving Rune Essence instead of Pure. - Fixed an issue with Dragon chainbody sleeves clipping. - Fixed an issue with NPCs not retaliating back. - Fixed an issue with freeze immunity. - Fixed an issue with NPC clipping when running. - Fixed an issue with logout timer lasting more than 10 seconds.

After a long-awaited launch, and working hard to ensure that the server was stable, the development team took a short Christmas break and are now back to deliver the updates you've all been waiting for! Without further ado, let's begin. Nightmare of Ashihama The long awaited group boss is finally here! The Nightmare of Ashihama can now be woken up from her everlasting slumber. Upon disturbing her, players will be pulled into her dream world, which consists of a fight arena. The Nightmare is known for giving her victims horrible nightmares until their life force is completely drained. Do you have what it takes to defeat her? While there are no requirements to fight The Nightmare, it's quite challenging so make sure to team up with some friends before taking her on. If you were to die, you can collect your items from Shura. Make sure you collect them before dying again, or they'll be lost forever! This isn't a safe boss, hardcore status will be lost on death.   4. + Content Additions & Changes: Bounty Hunter Bounty Hunter has made its way to Zaros! In this new Wilderness upgrade, you can be randomly assigned a target that is within your combat bracket. If you manage to defeat your target with an emblem in your inventory and risking at least 100K in items or coins, you might find yourself with a shiny new emblem to trade with Death for Blood Money. If you do not have an emblem to upgrade, a chance at a new tier 1 will be dropped for you. Some important aspects of Bounty Hunter include: - The chance of an upgrade or new emblem is dependent on your opponents risk, and the tier they are holding - You are required to risk at least 100K in items or coins to receive an upgrade - Upon killing your target, you will receive a 20 second pile-jumping (PJ) immunity - You have a chance to gain a T1 Emblem on a wilderness slayer task, and if you complete your task, you have another chance to upgrade your emblem The Blood Money reward for Emblems is as follows: + Antique emblem (tier 1) - 10 blood money + Antique emblem (tier 2) - 20 blood money + Antique emblem (tier 3) - 40 blood money + Antique emblem (tier 4) - 80 blood money + Antique emblem (tier 5) - 150 blood money + Antique emblem (tier 6) - 240 blood money + Antique emblem (tier 7) - 350 blood money + Antique emblem (tier 8) - 500 blood money + Antique emblem (tier 9) - 700 blood money + Antique emblem (tier 10) - 1000 blood money --- Ancient Caskets Changes - Added 3 additional single area spawns. - Can no longer drop the casket. - Can no longer attack other players whilst having the Ancient Casket - Any combat level may now attack the player attacking the person with the ancient casket. - Lower levels can no longer attempt to PJ the person attacking the casket carrier --- Gauntlet: - Demi-bosses will now correctly drop a different weapon part if you already have the one they drop in your inventory. - Slightly slowed down the speed at which the heating tiles at Hunllef change into red damaging tiles. --- Theatre of Blood: Due to the changes outlined below and to provide fairness, we are resetting the challenge and total time records on both world scoreboards. All other data relating to completions and deaths are retained. The competition for TOB will continue to run and will now end on December 29th. The Nightmare competition starting this weekend will still run as planned. - Ironmen are now able to pick up a Dawnbringer dropped by a teammate. - Players now drop the Dawnbringer on death. - Fixed an issue where you could accidentally overbuy an item from the supply chest you don’t have room for, effectively wasting your points - Players that die after the boss will now properly spawn at the respawn point instead of the jail (the death is still counted unless it’s after Verzik p3) - Fixed an issue where players could not make an unfinished Cadantine Blood Potion (for bastion potions). Maiden: - Moved all crab spawns back by one tile. This should help with clumping and freeze mechanics. - Slightly reduced the chance of a blood spawn appearing from a splat. - To clarify on damage the “red splats” deal to you when stepping on them, their max hit increases with the more matomenos that reach maiden Nylocas: - Pillar healths were previously 3,000hp each. Thanks to a confirmation from someone on OSRS they are now 130hp in a 5-man, scaling evenly up to 330hp in a 1-man. The damage that each nylo does to the pillars have also been changed to a maximum of “1” per hit. - Total pillar health is now properly show on the main HUD health bar. - Fixed an issue where 2 small nylocas would not spawn after big nylocas die. - The boss will now spawn 10 seconds after the last minion dies rather than the previous 5 seconds. - The boss now has better aggressive targeting, switching between targets more evenly. Sotetseg: - The message that a red ball is coming your way is now colored red. - Fixed an issue where he would melee very far away (this was hotfixed shortly after release) - Will now fire the red DD bomb after 10 mage attacks, with melee attacks no longer counting towards this. - Stepping on an incorrect maze tile will now correctly deal AOE damage to players nearby.   5. The Theatre of Blood Towards the east of Gielinor, located within the Sanguinesti region, is Ver Sinhaza. Once the home of Queen Efaritay, it is now ruled over by Verzik Vitur, head of the Vitur family and one of the few true-born vampyres on Gielinor. For millennia, Lady Verzik has commanded an army of vampyres whom she has not only used to do her biddings, but also provide her with on-demand entertainment. It didn't take long before this became tiresome, and so she instructed her followers to create a gauntlet filled with some of the strongest warriors, creations and creatures. This is what we call today the Theatre of Blood. + Changes and Additions - You can now access the Trollheim Herb patch, and this patch is now disease-free - Mithril Seeds have had their prices cut in half, and made untradeable - Moderators and Administrators now have the ability to clear farming patches for you if you have any bugged ones left over from an update we made prior. Additionally, herbs that fall on the floor when a player’s inventory is full will no longer despawn. - Opening the creation menu no longer cancels current movement. - The message for filling vials with water is now filtered. - Great Olm: - Protection prayers now lower damage more effectively from basic attacks. - Crystal burst claw special is now 1 tick faster. - Olm flame wall: - Fires can now be extinguished with more water items. - Fixed a bug that didn’t allow for spam clicking when using water spells.. - The fires now properly despawn when Olm dies. - Lizardmen shamans: - Minions now spawn less frequently. - Lowered Acid attack AoE damage radius.   11. Because our experience rates are supposed to be your gamemodes rate * OSRS experience. Crafting Benches were supposed to grant 1 and 2 experience respectively, this was a bug.

Obviously I'm not happy that a bug was available in the game that was abusable, and I'm furthermore upset that solving this bug disrupted not only a competition but a thought-to-be efficient way of training a particular skill. Like I said, we're still waiting on David's input and once we have the go-ahead to move forward with an idea, we will let you know what will happen.

Hi there, I've been spit-balling what to do about this problem in my mind for the last little bit, and I've come to the conclusion that resetting peoples levels, or putting a bug back into the game isn't quite acceptable. We're currently waiting on David's input into the matter before we make any moves, but to get some ideas rolling that don't involve resetting people or putting a bug back into the game, would taking away the 10x modifier on plank prices for ironmen be something we can chat about?

Content Additions & Changes: - Barrows brothers will now spawn within 1-2 tiles of the player like they do on OSRS. - Slightly nerfed the rate at which Count Draynor auto-heals during the quest. - Added cape of legends to the general melee store for regular accounts (ironmen can buy one in the ironman-only store) - Mahogany and teak seeds are now tradeable. - Removed chaos runes from paladin’s pickpocketing table. - Heating tiles at Gauntlet during the hunllef fight will now immediately stop damaging you when hunllef starts to die. - The amulet of blood fury will no longer break apart in a PvM death. It will still morph back into a normal fury during a PvP death. - Zulrah will now be attackable 2 ticks sooner after emerging out of the water. - You will now be prompted to enter your bank pin (if you have not entered it already) when viewing or withdrawing a preset. - Zaros Mystery Boxes can now be noted. - Explorer’s Ring: - Due to recent feedback regarding the very hard-to-obtain explorer’s Ring 4 in the achievement store, we’ve added the other 3 rings and split the farming patch teleport locations up between the four rings. - The cost (in achievement percentage) for each of the explorer rings are now 15%, 30%, 45%, and 60% respectively between tiers 1-4. - Minnow Fishing: - Spots now properly move in a clockwise rotation every 15 seconds. - Corrected the “flying fish” mechanics in that once a flying fish spawns at the current minnow spot he will continually steal your fish until the spot moves. - When depositing pay-dirt at the motherlode mine conveyor belt near max capacity, it will now take as much dirt as it can hold instead of requiring you to have an exact number. - Clan owners can now permanently ban someone from entering their clan by adding them to their block/ignore list. - Wilderness Slayer Caskets: - Drops at the same rate as normal slayer caskets, but only from tasks in the wilderness (slayer master krystilia). - Comparing it to the regular slayer casket, there are 50% more coins, a full crystal key instead of a half, better herbs, and some PvP potions/resources. - If you die to a player and they are unprotected, they will be converted to 10,000 coins per casket. - Goraks in the godwars dungeon will no longer target you if you have a zamorak item. - Buffed the amount of bird nests obtained from bird houses for each tier. - Buffed the rates for seed nests and made them searchable on the drop table viewer. - Minions of General Graardor at godwars have had their drop tables updated to be closer to OSRS. - Donator token scrolls have been changed to show their USD dollar amount in the name rather than the token amount. You will still be prompted with the amount of tokens each one gives during the redeeming process. - Totem pieces dropped in the catacombs of kourend now properly add to your collection log. - Proselyte Hauberk will no longer interfere with ava’s devices. - All elves in prifddinas are now pickpocketable and associated with the elf looting table. Bug Fixes: - Fixed an issue where items that are not able to be noted sometimes got lost when aborting an offer from the trading post. - Fixed an issue where the Galvek leaderboard would sometimes not correctly display the top damagers. - Fixed an issue where you could not unblock slayer tasks in slots 2-6. - Fixed an issue where Basilisk Sentinals would not give slayer experience and would respawn after the encounter. - Revenant killcounts are now properly displayed in the collection log. - Fixed an issue where items purchased using molch pearls or golden nuggets would not show up in the collection log. - Fixed an issue where ancient magiks could not be auto-casted with ahrim’s staff using a non-full amulet of the damned. - The plank-make spell will now correctly give magic experience for each log. - Overflowed clue rewards will no longer go to the bank if the player is an Ultimate Ironman. - Fixed an issue where the standard ring of suffering would be used as a ring of recoil. - Fixed an issue where ironmen could buy overstocked items from shops. - Fixed an issue where the farming guild herblore patch would show weeds visibly while there’s actually something growing in it. - Fixed an issue where birdhouses would become un-interactable or not be completed after a long amount of time. - Fixed an issue with the trading post where the listing offers would visually appear in your personal offers after quickly switching back to the home interface from the search interface. - Yew trees now correctly require cactus spines for protection instead of marigolds. - Fixed issues with watered seedlings not turning into saplings after logging out. All watered seedlings in your inventory and bank should now turn into the correct sapling 5 minutes after logging back in. - Fixed not being able to imbue the ring of suffering(r) from the PvP store while it’s charged with additional recoils.
