Hierarchy of Staff Ranks The Owners is the founder of Zaros. They will work alongside other developers to keep our website, forums and server up and running. Developers will work alongside with the Owner for providing new content into the game and handling bug reports. Administrators are responsible to work alongside with Forum Moderators, Global Moderators, and Senior Moderators to help oversee the staff team. Their job is to handle promotions and demotions along with administrating the server. An addition to this role they are responsible for helping live support on taking donations. Live Supports are in charge of handling donations from the Zaros live chat located in Zaros Store. A Live Support will work alongside the Administrative Team on handling donations for 07 RSGP and Amazon E-Gift Cards. The time varies when a live support is available. Please be patient with us! Email Supports are in charge of handling tickets from the ticket support. An Email Support will work alongside the Administrative Team handling issues relating to account: 2FA devices, Forgotten Password, Forgotten Bank Pin, and Account Hacked. After submitting a ticket it may take up to 24-48 hours for a response. Please be patient with us! A Global Moderator is also known as 'Junior Administrator' is considered the right-hand man of the Administrators, dealing with issues in their absence. These Moderators have been granted with obtaining the new role of a Forum Moderator along with more commands in-game. On rare occasions, Forum Moderators are promoted to Global Moderators who then, instead, obtain in-game responsibilities. Forum Moderators moderate the forums and make sure they are kept clean and tidy. Senior Moderators are the foundation of Server Moderators who work alongside with Global Moderators to mentor the newly promoted and overseeing punishment logs, appeals, and reports. Although these moderators have the same responsibility as a Server Moderator they are focused on dealing with larger issues. Server Moderators are former Server Supports who have a willingness to do more for Zaros. These Moderators are tasked with in-game responsibilities and moderating such as; issuing jails, mutes, bans, handling reports and appeals, and making sure that all rules are being enforced. Server Supports are active players who have extensive knowledge about our server. These supports work alongside with Moderators by helping players at their level best. While their job is so simple, a strong server support team makes a great difference for the server. Ex-Staff A staff member who chosen to resign has obtained Moderator rank or higher. YouTubers YouTubers are players who have met the requirements and created a variety of content for our community. Welcome to the first official King of the Skill event! During this 9 day event, players will race the clock to see how many levels they can rack up on a single account in a 12-hour playtime period with absolutely no help from players, donations, or free loot of any kind. For the grand prize of this event we will be releasing the Black H'ween Mask - this mask will be unique to official server events with only about 4 releasing a year. Event Duration: Friday April 2nd 12:00 GMT until Sunday April 11th 23:59 GMT Highest Total Level: Black H'ween Mask + $250 in donation credit 2nd Highest Total Level: $150 in donation credit Most Experience: $100 in donation credit Rules, Features, and Content Specifications Upon creating a new account and logging in for the first time, players will be able to choose a game mode option for "King of the Skill" (KOTS) apart from other game modes. The mode in itself is a direct copy of our normal Ironman Mode having the same features and experience rate as usual. Promptly after choosing the special KOTS mode, your in-game timer will start and you'll have 12-hours to earn the most levels and experience possible. After the full twelve hours of in-game time (not wall-clock time), your account will be permanently locked. Time warnings will be given throughout the duration of your time online to remind you of your impending account "ban". After the event has ended and winners are calculated, players will be able to login to their locked accounts to continue playing as regular ironmen. All of the following content and features are disabled for KOTS participants: Donating and donator rank benefits Ability to purchase items from the online-store Tears of Guthix Autocomplete clues Bonus exp books(from quests/voting) Any server enabled event bonuses(raids, pet rate, bonus exp, bonus drop rate, clue bonus, etc) Voting/the vote store Other notes, tips, and disclaimers: The highest total level wins. In the event two players with the same total level are considered for one of the prizes, the winner will be determined from total experience gained. Players can create as many King of the Skill accounts as they wish throughout the duration of the event if they are not happy with results of a previous account. One single person cannot claim both prizes for highest total level (if they made multiple accounts), however one single person may claim the prize for one of the total level placements AND the most experience prize. Responsibilities & Duties Server Supports work alongside with Moderators by helping players at their level best. While their job is so simple, a strong server support team makes a great difference for the server. Guidelines Failure to follow these guidelines and format will result in being declined instantly. Members must have 2 days in-game playtime to apply. Members must not bring an application towards any member for a vouch, support, look-over, etc. Members must wait a week before posting another application after declined. Members must have a discord to communicate. Members must not have outstanding or serious infractions on their account.
