just to reiterate, i put this suggestion in like a month ago and it was completely ignored, so here is a repost.  its the most simple solution to such a big problem items in the game actually have next to no value, theyre worthless. Either they're in tp for next to nothing or have been sitting there in tp for days or you have to massively undercut people to get a sale, no one wants to buy anything unless they can merch you down to selling for next to nothing. I dont really understand why many months into the server there hasnt been any try in resolving the issue. you could literally combat this issue with something so simple for instance ( spend a couple of hours giving items a set value, example - set price of an armadyl chestplate to 40m if sold to the general store, set price of dwh to 125m cash if sold to general store ) it would literally take a few hours to set some values for items when sold to general store, not only does it remove an awful lot of items out of the game, it give more cash flow into the game in return therefor items in tp are going to sell more often. not only are items not being cheaply sold for peanuts on tp, youre removing items out of the game therefor the value of items are going to increase. a dragon warhammer isnt going to fall bellow 125m if you can sell it to gen store for that price. a bandos tassy isnt going to fall below 40m if you can sell it to gen store for that value. i think this would help the server a great deal if im honest and i think you need to put some effort into fixing the issue.

Yep, I totally agree. But Zaros is pretty dead now all the hype is gone and they had the chance to make it right, they were just too slow to react.

Money is very hard to come by in Zaros and they have made the game too 1-1 with Osrs which completely makes no sense to me because why not just play osrs. I think they made a massive mistake doing this.

Kind of fed up seeing these threads and owners/devs not stepping up.

Good luck anyways, but if I were you I'd stop wasting my time on a declining server.

Thanks for the suggestion! Just want to note that I have personally gone through all threads in this section and although reading is one thing, I do not have enough time to reply to all of them.

In regards to this specific suggestion, we have made adjustments in the upcoming update that decreases costs on a few activities and increases incoming gold. A shop to sell your gear to could be beneficial however it would probably be best if we did not dictate a baseline for how much an item can sell for minimum as it goes against freedom of pricing. With the amount of data we've gathered from the trading post over the past few months, we could try to auto calculate/update baseline prices based on successful trading post transactions, although even with that it could be potentially manipulated moving forward.

Professor Oak is currently tasked with a project outside of Zaros, Klem is focused on our upcoming Deadman mode, and Polar and I are still doing updates to the economy world. We all have different responsibilities and our activity on the forums, game, discord, elsewhere all depends on what we're doing.

i see what you are saying, but nobody is telling you to set a party hat in for 10b to the shop, even if you done this to the obvious, godwar items, zenyte stuff, zulrah stuff, just focus on the items that are really struggling in game for a little while, this would help out the server imensly. especially would stop irons from dumping items in tp as they would be able to sell their item for cash to pay for things like runes. also things like slayer skip scrolls and instance tokens even if they had a shop price of 350k ea or whatever it might be, youre losing a good chunk of them out of the eco to shops, bringing in more cash to spend in tp meaning items are inevitably going to increase their value almost imediately, also if you set price of say armadyl chest plate to the store for 50m cash, once everyones sold theirs to the store, the increased value in the item is going to help out so much. i know its a difficult desicion to be made, but making the right decision now could result in a better outcome than waiting even longer and losing people to such demotivation that they are grinding for peanuts

its more of giving items a safety net so they dont get crashed completely, what players decide to sell them for once the item has that safety net will inevitably be decided by the players but it means that items can not just tank because of the influx, there will always be some value to them.

Although the end goal of your suggestion is 1 of the biggest changes which would have a positive impact on Zaros. However nobody high enough up seems to recognize this or is afraid of the task, so it continuously gets swept under the rug.

Adding a price floor to an already under demand market will further lower demand, thus overall sales will suffer even more.

most items are not in demand because everyone already has the items if not multiples, hence why having a way to get them out of the game only creates a demand because there will eventually be less causing the item to rise and more demand.....

This is a great idea they should definitely add something like that where you can get good money from selling them to shops to keep the prices up. I quit this game months ago because items were impossible to sell or worthless. It made playing a normal account pointless and demotivating when items don't sell and you see 99% irons.
