My logic here is that since this is the highest the player count will be tob will only get worse from here on since player count will drop. Plus, the shit drop rates and splits make it hardly worth doing.

Could be true, but it's frustrating seeing a server with 2k player count and you can't find other raiders

I think in the early days of this server most people are trying to max /ironmen/ realist. I think as time goes on more players are going to go to raids. Like myself... I've done a few raids with pleb gear but having over 1k+ kc on OSRS not to mention ikov kc, every time I close my eyes I can see every little detail of those raids (not to boast) But I think players are having fun doing mid game content, with some skilling and gathering supplies. Zaros has so much content to offer. I guarantee in the next few months there will be plenty of teams at TOB.

It really is dead tho. FYI to those wondering, TOB gear setups cost less than COX setups, so gear isn't the problem. The issue with TOB is a combination of things. (1) Drop rates. The drop rate deathless is way too high, and many of the TOB drops aren't even worth much. Many of the COX drops are worth more than TOB drops. TOB is currently only viable in 3-5 man, so splits aren't good compared to COX. (2) Janky mechanics. There are so many technical issues with TOB its ridiculous. Nados nearly always heal for 100-150 hp. On osrs, the nados heal verzik max ~50 hp, because it's based on the damage dealt to the player. The nados on Zaros can also hit u from farther away than they should, making it difficult to snake. I have a ~500 word document discussing the issues revolving around this content.

There is another reason aswell and that is the toxic addicted community who have been dominating TOB from the beginning.

i started doing tob 2 days after the release because i couldn’t play before and no1 would take me because 2kc+ was req.

Besides this were small mistakes examples to be burnt on (our addict streamers are really toxic...)

So buff droprates and start taking the time to learn people how to do it if you want more players to do tob...

Exactly. The server has a few people with good gear, but it’s also got such a real 07 feeling to it, there’s always grinding to be done. I don’t wanna hop on a server and instantly be doing end game content. Zaros has such a good nostalgic feeling to it because you’ve got to work for your stuff in a fresh economy.

As others have mentioned, this server is 1:1. You wouldn’t see alot of players grinding ToB so early after a release as everyone doesn’t play 10 hours a day to get reqs so early on, also not all players are already experienced at ToB, give it time. Overall this post is ignorant af
