  1. Hello,

We are currently looking for people who are willing to test out content on Zaros before we launch, this is to ensure that content is smooth once we're online. Progress from the beta will be completely wiped when the game launches properly.

If you are interested in participating and helping us with the beta then be sure to post an application in this section, make sure you use the format found in this thread when you are making your application.

Do not worry if your application isn't immediately accepted, we will be accepting more over time. Sometimes we may look for people who specialise in something such as PVP or PVM to help with specific things we're in need of, other times we will be happy to accept people who are just general players and are willing to help with everything. Basically, keep checking your app as we'll continually keep adding more people to the beta, the closer we get to launch to more & more people we can allow on.

    Kind regards,
    Zaros Development Team.

They going to be scrolls or solely money you invest on donations I.e tokens. So people cant buy donators from in game currency?

Will be scrolls you can buy of other players so you can get donator without having to spend money yourself.

Thank you for your reply on this discussion. How much will each of those ranks cost? I'm also wondering if 5 ranks is enough tbh.

    Perhaps something like this: $10, $50, $150/$200, $500, $1000, $2500, $5000 and maybe even a $10,000 donator rank?

    Same as Ikov.

    $10
    $50
    $250
    $1000
    $5000

We also have this for perhaps another if its needed, not confirmed to be in the game yet.

Since Zaros was previously Atlas, I believe donator ranks will remain the same.

Actually, it's a mix of atlas & ikov.

+1, couldn't agree more. I'm all for giving the incentive of the dollar sign to people that want it, I personally would rather go without or be able to switch it off if I choose to do so.

@Ollie I sense you have not had breakfast before posting this, or somebody took a piss on your front lawn. Firstly, people play private servers for many different reasons, predominantly because of a faster exp rate, smaller tight knit communities & to avoid having to spend countless hours to build an account which some of us simply do not have as we have other commitments taking up our time. Furthermore, I'd also reflect your own statement back at you in relation to 'how stupid that sounds' when you signal that you play a private server to see dollar signs & yells, to me, that makes absolutely no sense as neither really add to the overall quality of your in-game experience. You enjoy your day though g ?

Donator icons won't be dollar signs.

Thing is David. You can't survive off of $10,000 a month. It won't even cover your development costs. Well sorry to say but we can hire twice as much within that budget. Qualified Java developers ranging from seniors to a proven resume and proven work experience with references.

Well, your spot isn't hard to take. Just depends if someone decides to do it.

    What are you on about?

I don't take a wage so that figure doesn't include me, I only make money if the server profits. The best developers in the RSPS scene are expensive, you think a qualified java developer is going to leave their career to work on an RSPS? Yeah that looks super good on their resume.

I'm confused on your post, are you stupid or have I misunderstood?

Donation incentives I believe would help is drop percent increase or even a monthly subscription which would give you benefits in percentage for mini games / PC / Barrows / etc and access to membership only areas for moneymaking advantage or more yield from a farm run to make pots / XP gains slightly increased etc, incentive of still working for the items and not just receiving via a donators shop?

Obviously not just the above benefits, but you get what I mean. Rather then a ::claimdonation make it a membership with a benefit for a month?

Also question - will there be donator ranks in game like Ikov? Is this something we can turn off on client?

Issue with membership is that it doesn't generate enough revenue.

If you have 1000 people paying for a $10 membership that's $10,000 a month you have to spend. I can tell you that $10,000 a month is not nearly enough to run a top RSPS. It wouldn't even pay for the developer costs let alone advertising & misc costs.

Yes there will be donator ranks, we'll have an option where you can toggle your rank off so people can't see it.

Disagree. No support. Should be replicating OSRS not giving such a advantage for donators and store buyers to ruin economy straight away.

If you want a big server you need to be able to compete with other rsps for adverts, this is very expensive. You will be a dead server in no time if no one were purchasing anything.

I don't want this server to have the best stuff in the shops or for it to be impossible to compete with donators but you still need incentives for people to spend money else your server won't survive.
