    Slayer caskets

Though I think Slayer caskets could use a bit of a rework, I don't think Slayer skips should be added. Need to keep value in the shop. At the very least though, they should be giving higher herbs than Guam->Harra lol.
  2. First, I'd like to apologize to the people who want construction to be a cheap and easy skill to train. Unfortunately that is not at all what Construction is in OSRS, and that's not what the aim of it should be on a server that intends to be as close a replica to OSRS as possible. I do appreciate the frustration in seeing some players taking advantage of a cheaper method early on that should have never been available in the first place, and the frustration of it being patched in the middle of a race. If your main concern with the molten glass method was it's affect on first-to-max competitions, I have some good news; Luckily it appears that it didn't have any affect on any of the races to max, as both of the Ironmen who were in competition for the Ironman prize used the method, and none of the players in contention for the remaining Ironman prizes have used it (apologies if it affected the UIM competition, I'm not 100% on that one). Most importantly though, using planks can be just as efficient as the cost effective molten glass method was. I knew about the molten glass method, but I chose not to use it because I calculated planks being just as time efficient. Sure, it's going to cost a lot more GP, and at 8x xp rates you're going to need 15k+ logs, but luckily if you want to max your account you're able to get both of these out of the way while you train your other skills. Again, this is EXACTLY what construction is intended to be on OSRS, and other than having the early glitch method in the game, I don't see what the complaint about it is now. I can prove this, as I have all of the logs/planks/GP banked for 99 construction, and I've not even finished some skills that are able to generate GP. I simply trained the rest of my skills with the intention of leaving ~50m gp for 99 construction with Teak planks. I'm not sure what the end goal of this topic is, but I do believe this server has done a phenomenal job in balancing it's content. Sure there have been a few hiccups (blast furnace, ranging guild arrowtips, wall safes, molten glass construction, etc) but the best thing to do it iron out these lapses and move on. We're fortunate that they have not at all had a serious impact on the competitions being run. I'm happy to answer any questions and respond to any debate on this issue. Let's discuss! EDIT: Well my timing on this topic was just as good as the timing of my nap today, molten glass reverted lol. Have fun fellas.
  3. The cost of construction using planks currently is not an issue at all. I don't understand all of the complaints about this. Ironsky outlined costs for using planks in his post, and there's no reason at all if you max the rest of your skills efficiently, that you wouldn't have more than enough gp to plankmake at the current costs in an efficient manner. Construction is SUPPOSED to be a money sink. Now, most importantly, the main point of this topic is about the EIM competition apparently, and it's now clear with the highscores that this isn't even an issue. At the time I'm writing this, both myself and Mike have not used either of the methods outlined, as we both have Construction and Smithing left to finish. It appears that FAQ may have taken advantage of the early Blast Furnace, and TheJacob may have used glass for Construction, but it's clearly not put anybody way ahead of their competition. Though I was unaware of the efficient method to collect a large amount of buckets of sand(I just watched Zara's video detailing his methods), I have seen planks as a MUCH more efficient method of 99 Construction anyways. There are plenty of ways that you can end up with 50m to spend on construction by the time you finish the rest of your skills. If that's not the case, then you've progressed your account inefficiently.

    Recent Nerfs & Updates

Minimum yield with supercompost AND magic secateurs in OSRS is 5 herbs. Average yield per patch is something like 6.7. We're currently getting an average of at least 10 per patch, and that's without any flat % bonus from things like magic secateurs. The current yields are more than generous in my opinion. I would never flame you my friend, haha, and I'm not suggesting a complete reset of anybody's stats, and certainly not a person who only used the bugged furnace to level 71. But to not have any reprocusions to people who clearly dropped everything and RUSHED to get their 99 Smithing, knowing it was a bug, and knowing it would be patched QUICKLY, is pretty ridiculous.

Agreed with most. Although, I think Farming is perfectly fine now. You should NOT be expecting 150+ herbs per farm run lol, I saw that boost for a few days as a bonus after the unreasonable few days of low herbs from patches. Herb farming is exactly where it should be now. I'd just like to add that it's pretty unreasonable to make these massive changes while simultaneously running competitions for first to max. There's absolutely no way you should be taking away meta training methods when only a select few have been able to take advantage. I'm still unsure as to how people who abused the blast furnace didn't have their Smithing level reset. Anybody who rushed to load 5k ores into the Blast Furnace CLEARLY knew they were abusing a bug and had to get their 99 before it was patched lol.

    Wintertodl loot

I got 2 Pyro pieces on route to 99 FM myself, so they aren't broken and I think the rates of rare drops from WT are okay. I do however 100000% agree that chests need a buff. I'm trying to max my EIM, and I almost saved all of my crates because of how shitty I realized the rewards are, and I assumed they would be buffed in the future. In the end, I do with I'd saved them lol.
  7. Cost is fine in my option. That's only a few hours of efficient GP farming. Also, if you're a level 3 skiller what reason would you ever have to turn your combat xp on?
