They aren't yeah, but you're not supposed to be AT risk at every single moment you step into the wild. There's a route and there's defined clue scroll spots that pkers can camp if they wish to target those people doing clues.

Support, clues are undo-able with people being able to teleport on you on spot.

Wilderness slayer caskets could receive a buff:

Make wilderness thieving more profitable @ rogue's castle
Make Angler's Fishing noted, bigger yields but a bigger risk if you stay fishing too long ( more loot for pkers if they get the kill ).
Rogue's Castle already has some decent loot, it's around 10 minutes of opening chests for 2 hours of fishing in food / supplies.
Support on the Larran's Chest upgrades, make it a hotspot, and this also keeps clans from gatekeeping Galvek for PVP weapons.

Sounds like a bug, if you died at a boss instance you just pay a fee at the NPC to obtain your things back.
IF you die outside of a boss instance, a grave is set at your death spot for 15 minutes, if you don't claim it you have to pay at Death's Coffer south of Edgeville, maybe report this and you can get a refund.

There's known hotspots for those "pkers" who just like to prounce on people doing Clues / MA2 capes, they are KNOWN, we SHOULD NOT need to worry about being teleported on whilst being in the middle of no where walking to these spots.
